Early Life

Tahith Chong was born in Willemstad, Curacao. He is of Chinese descent, he later migrated to Rotherdam Netherlands in order to play for a professional club, at the age of 10 he joined Feyenoord club. When he completed his move to Manchester United, Chong's family also moved to England in firm support for the young lad.

International Career

Chong played for the Netherlands national team at the 2016 UEFA European Under-17 Championship and scored the only goal in the quarter-final victory against Sweden. What a nice feat for the Manchester United starlet. 

Club Career

At the age of 10, Chong began playing for Feyenoord Rotherdam in 2009. Due to his talents as a young player he was bid for by teams like Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. Chong later moved to Manchester United, even though Feyenoord tried as much as they can to convince the starlet to stay but he made his intention to join Manchester United clear in an interview "would have liked to stay longer at Feyenoord because it's my club", the discussions of a new contract with the club "were very vague".

He was signed by Manchester United on July 27, 2016. He joined along side Angel Gomes and while it was a very good setup for the youth team, he managed to stand out with a lot of goals. Despite his serious knee injury that had forced him out of the field for 10 months, he has made his way into the Under-23 team of the club and is constantly rooted by fans for inclusion into the first team.

Chong was voted Manchester United's Under-23s Player of the Year, picking up the Denzil Haroun Reserve Player of the Year award. In doing so, he became the first player since Giuseppe Rossi to win the award the year after also being named the Jimmy Murphy Young Player of the Year [Axel Tuanzebe is also won both awards, but his were separated by two years].
